“Light Up” your fishing game

We all know that the sport of fishing is constantly evolving and the technology being applied to some of the products on the market today is so incredible that given a quick glance, humans might mistake them for real fish. Heck, some of the fish finders out there practically scream at you “Fish 30 feet down, drop your line now”. In the next decade,I can see us with our robotic swim baits and remote controls on our fishing rods maneuvering and swimming our lures right into the fish’s mouth. Every year more and more of these innovative products make their way to the market and magazine publications, claiming more fish to the purchasing angler. But how do you know which ones really work? Do they all work? For anglers that haven’t been exposed to a network of product testers or trial and error outings, how do they know that they are buying the right lure for the species and conditions they fish?

Esca, gulp and squid combo was on fire !

Last from our Pro Staff in New Jersey:

We couldn’t hold all the beautiful fluke we caught,we couldn’t even fit them all in one picture …all we can say is it doesn’t get any better then this! Simply a fantastic day with over 20 keepers in the 3 to 5 lb. class.  Esca, gulp and squid combo was on fire ! Fished with Tommy Tremer of Hazlet and friends.

Keeper fluke ? Not a problem !

Here is Dave Lilly and Toby Miller with handsfull and cleaning table full with a 2 man limit catch. {16 keepers } 7/8/2011. Esca and buctail jig combo tipped with squid strips did the job!

Tripling of the catch with Esca

Our pro staff member Mark Arsenault in Massachusetts sent us these pictures showing how easy and very successfully he rig his favorite lure, fishing for Striper with Esca.

“I have seen a consistent tripling of the catch. I use 4 rods and one of them has no Esca as a control.
I am amazed how well this product work! “

Great combo from Martha’s Vineyard

Janet Messineo has these great shots from Martha’s Vineyard to share with us. She got a nice 20lbs and one 42″x 23 girth at 24lbs surfcasting plugs enhanced with Esca in front.

Great combo on 4th of July.

Thanks Janet.

Unreal ! Esca blues …..

Here is a 96 quart cooler with Bluefish end to end,3 ft. + long. Just an amazing school of fish! Came across some marks at 25 feet in 80 feet of water offshore near 17 fathoms. Dropped down my stretch 30s with Esca and couldn’t keep them in the water. Monster Bluefish that never quit biting for 3 hours straight –12 to 16 pounders every one.

I’m not a Bluefish guy but it was too much fun to pass up. They were full of sardines and small butterfish. They would actually spit up live sardines on the deck! We landed near 40 fish, kept a dozen and lost 20 more! Left them biting. It just wouldn’t end. Not another boat in sight. A simply amazing day of Bluefish action on what was supposed to be a fluke trip!! Ha,ha,well that’s fishing.

Fishing Report –Team Pogy

The night-time Striper fishing has been very slow here. We have averaged 2 fish per night. Other anglers at our same location during the time we were there were not spotted to catch any. (Spotlights are a give-away). I haven’t filled out any reports for that because of the lack of feeding and activity.

We took our nephew out yesterday to try and catch him a State Pin for Flounder and it was about a 15 hour day when all was said and done. He did pull off a 3 pound 6 ounce fish too. Attached is our catch report;52 flounder total. We also caught him a striped bass, mackerel and some bottom fish.

Hope you are enjoying your 4th of July Holiday weekend!

Allison Miles

Leading the Women’s division again this year

Allison Miles from Boston sending us her personal best flounder this year caught on Esca,3lbs. 13 oz, which beat last year’s.  Allison tell us that she is leading the Women’s division again this year – “but there is some stiff competition out there,so I am going to keep at it and try for a whopper”.

Good luck Allison. We look forward for your next report.

More nice Stripers on Esca !

Attached is more pictures from some happy anglers who been striper fishing with Esca.  Thanks for the pictures guys!

Father’s Day bluefish,Westhampton Beach

Winds I think were actually easterly that day, about 5-10K,and so was the current. I only went fishing for about 20 minutes at around 3:30 –4:00pm just offshore and was in about 30 feet of water right outside 317 Dune Road.  I trolled two rods;one with a white 3 oz. spro buck tail and red pork rind, the other was an A47 diamond jig with green tube, and an esca between the leader and the jig –that one caught the fish!

Nice fluke

Thanks for the tip Martin!

I fished Barnegat bay and caught some nice fluke. I did get the first fish &it hit the esca directly as you can see from the attached picture. I believe it gave me an edge over my fishing mates as I caught 2 more than they did!

Very effective Esca mackerel rig!

This Esca rig gave 35 mackerel in less than a hour.

Thanks to Mark Arsenault in MA for the picture.

Literature tip

Check out The Fishermans new book on wreck bottom fishing where you also get many ideas on how to use Esca to help you catch more fish.

Remember that Esca works on all type of saltwater fishing and that Esca comes with a money back guarantee.

More Fish – More Fun

Don’t shortchange yourself

The Esca advantage has become apparent to me in nearly every facet of New England Fishing. On cod trips, this thing whipped fellow deck-mates,on the flounder flats I took the biggest blackback of the year in the heavily fished Boston Harbor. The last gauntlet was our most prized gamefish of all –the striped bass.

“No matter how you fish in New England you’re shortchanging yourself if you’re not attaching an Esca to your line!”

On nightime tides, when the cows come calling,we matched plugs with Escas to those without and it wasn’t even a contest, the lures with the Escas trounced the same lures without. No matter how you fish in New England you’re shortchanging yourself if you’re not attaching an Esca to your line!
