We are proud to have John D. Silva,an award winning outdoor writer and photographer with over 40 years of experience fishing inland and coastal waters in the United States and Canada,on our Pro-Staff Team.

He is an active member in the New England Outdoor Writer’s Association,and has published a wide range of instructional articles and columns,ranging in content from tips,tackle,rigging,and techniques;to outdoor humor,cooking,and classic lure history. 

When this 12-month-a-year,all-weather angler is not out on the water,(or writing about his life-long passion),Silva enjoys the simple family life. He dedicates himself to passing on his love and respect of the outdoors to future generations. Above all else,Silva enjoys identifying with,and educating the novice angler in all of us.

John believes that,at its core,fishing should be a simple,enjoyable,and carefree endeavor. When the world starts closing in around us, there’s much to be said for simply heading into the forest and sitting on a stump for a while. Esca couldn’t agree more with him.
